The City of Orillia relies on the expertise of volunteers in the community and appoints approximately 100 citizens to its many boards and committees. Citizen appointments are generally made by City Council in December of each year.

The City regularly requires new members for Boards and Committees, and the annual membership review is underway. Members gain valuable experience while giving back to the community. If you have any questions regarding committee membership, please contact Robin Cadeau at 705-329-2452 or

The City of Orillia is looking for a volunteer from the public to assist with a review of the parking needs in the downtown core.  The Parking Working Group has been created to provide a detailed analysis of financial, operational, and comparative best practices to improve visitor parking in Orillia's downtown core.

The citizen member would be working with three members of Council and three members of the Downtown Orillia Management Board to shape the future of parking in Downtown Orillia. Individuals who have successfully worked in a group dynamic and possess a willingness and ability to conduct research would be an asset for this position.
